It’s February, the shortest month of the year. Not much time to procrastinate, so let’s get moving!

TODAY: Freeway members are earning DOUBLE the normal amount of credits for surfing. Upgraded members can claim their February monthly credits and impressions. So EVERYBODY needs to login to their Nexus Exchange account, get your credits, and assign them to your campaigns.

Credits look great in your account, but they don’t do you any good unless they are assigned to campaigns. YOU are in full control of your advertising at Nexus Exchange. You set up auto-assign to distribute the credits that you earn as you surf. You assign all bonus credits claimed and credits that you earn by referring new members and showing your referral pages.

Speaking of control, you also control your payments to us or any other traffic exchange. When you upgrade your membership, you login to your payment processor and setup a subscription. YOU give your payment processor permission to pay your monthly payments. When you want to downgrade your membership, YOU must login to your payment processor and CANCEL your subscription. We at Nexus Exchange, and admin at any other traffic exchange for that matter, do NOT have access to your payment processor account. Think about it. If program owners had that power, wouldn’t we just upgrade everybody, move to the Bahamas, and live on the beach for the rest of our lives?

Last paragraph make absolutely no sense whatsoever? That’s okay, I’m used to hearing that. Learn all about online payments from Sunny Suggs. I love her ebooks. They have pictures! She includes screenshots with arrows and asterisks and explanations of what you should take note of and know. I’m a visual learner. I need to take written paragraphs and translate them into pictures and diagrams to fully understand what is being said. Sunny does all that for me in her ebooks. It can’t get any more simple than that!

Okay everybody? Let’s bust a move!!

MOVING! I almost forgot. We are moving servers this week. To better serve our members, we are moving our dedicated server hosting to ZootHost where traffic exchange hosting is a specialty. We will send out an email to the members when the move occurs. All grandfathered Gold members of Nexus Exchange who have domains hosted on our dedicated server, watch your email inbox for a personal email from me with the new nameservers.

Today is the last day of 1:1 Weekend at Nexus Exchange. All members, including our free members, are earning one full credit for every site viewed until 11:59 pm tonight New York City time. Now is the time to login to your Nexus Exchange account and rack up some credits while viewing your fellow members’ products, services and offers. Remember to assign credits to your campaigns so that other members will see them. The bonus credits link on the surf bar is currently set to award 8 credits when clicked, and it shows every 25th site that you view. Bonus credits from the surf bar are NOT included in auto-assign, so you MUST manually assign those credits to the campaign(s) of your choice.

Don’t surf just for credits, though. Personally, I think surfing in traffic exchanges is a great education in marketing. I see what others are doing and apply what I like to my own advertising arsenal. Traffic exchanges are a great place to test your splash pages. If you can sell to a fellow marketer, you can sell, baby!

Now, about the daily referral page view contest, I thought it was a wonderful win-win situation. Members get advertising credits for their campaigns and Nexus Exchange gets exposure and new members. Well, the same set of people are winning the contest everyday, and that’s no fun. I want to spread the advertising love to all active members of Nexus Exchange. So, the daily referral page view contest will run through January 31, then it gets retired as a failed experiment. But please, if you are going to promote Nexus Exchange, use the splash page that you can put your name and picture on. Everybody looks good in purple!

Anybody got anything shiny for me to try for my next promo?

Some of you “Twitters” out there already know that I am now support admin at BootScootin Traffic. Owner Sunny Suggs and I are great friends and in constant contact through Twitter and Yahoo IM. BootScootin Traffic exploded to over 5000 members in just a few short months. She picks my brain over what I have learned from running Nexus Exchange since 2005. We recently decided that giving me admin privileges at BootScootin Traffic would streamline support at her site. Sunny is all about customer service.

Sunny, of course, announced it to her members. I never thought about announcing it to Nexus Exchange members until the other day. I received an email at Nexus Exchange complaining that I had never answered a support issue. Well, I did answer the question, but the member sent the support ticket to BootScootin Traffic, not Nexus Exchange.

So, I, Eva, provide member support for both Nexus Exchange and BootScootin Traffic. I will keep the support issues for the exchanges separate from each other. Please submit your support tickets to the appropriate site.

NOW, are you ready to go ONE-TO-ONE at Nexus Exchange? The fun begins in less than 3 hrs. Oh hell, I’m gonna go start it now …

Ray White, owner of Soaring4Traffic.com won the free one-month Expressway upgrade in the UN-referral contest. Congratulations!

I can hear the grumbling now … NOT FAIR! A TE owner won the upgrade. Ray played by the rules, and won fair and square. Ray is a free member of Nexus Exchange. He took advantage of last weekend’s promotion and won the referral page view contest 2 out of 3 days. He advertised for me, probably at the expense of advertising his own exchange. I gotta respect that.

This weekend we will have another 1:1 weekend. ALL members will earn one credit for every site viewed Friday through Sunday. I will send out an email before then to remind you. And, as always, you are GUARANTEED at least 5 BONUS CREDITS every 25 sites that you view when you click the bonus credits link on the surf bar.

Don’t want to wait for special promos to get a 1:1 ratio? Expressway membership is now just $8.97 per month. Comes with 1:1 view ratio on a 8-second timer plus 400 credits every month. Extra banner and text link impressions, too! It’ll save you lots of clicking time. Login to your Nexus Exchange account and go to Upgrade Account to check out the options available there.

Now how about a freebie? Sunny Suggs has a new ebook out that explains the world’s largest online payment processor. If you want to handle money online, you NEED this book! Grab your free copy here.

Oh, and anybody ever notice extra credits showing up in their Nexus Exchange account? When I get bored, I check the surf stats and award credits to surfers at random, anywhere between 20 to 50 credits. You might be next.

I am so excited about our new customizable splash page for Nexus Exchange. I know, I know, everybody and his brother already have one, but this one is mine, dangit! I think it’s killer looking and I want to show it off to the entire Internet! But I can’t do that all by myself. I need help.

Now wonderful loyal members like Tony Tezak, Pat Grilliot, and Isabella Vreeken are already rotating their version of the new splash page. I want every member to show their page. I think everybody looks great in purple!

Okay, enough about me. What do YOU get out of showing your personal, customized Nexus Exchange splash page? First off, no one can miss your name and picture on the custom splash page. That’s branding for you. Next, you get 0.1 credit for each unique hit to any of your Nexus referral pages, up to 100 credits in a 24-hour period. Plus, if someone signs up under you from one of those pages, you get 25 credits added to your account. And you get a percentage of the surfing efforts from your direct referrals.

Now, I just discovered a little gem in the admin back office at Nexus Exchange. I can run a contest based on the number of showings of referral pages!! So guess what … NEW CONTEST!

Beginning Friday, January 16 at midnight New York City time, Nexus Exchange will award credits to the top 3 members who show their referral pages the most. This will be a DAILY contest until you get sick of it and complain about it, or I get a different hair up my butt about something else shiny.

First prize will be 75 credits, second prize 50 credits, third prize 25 credits.

Hmm, and to make things a little more interesting, everyone who gets a referral this weekend (between midnight January 16 and 11:59 pm January 18 New York City time) will be entered in a drawing for a free one-month upgrade to Expressway membership. Each referral counts as an additional entry for the drawing.

So, to recap, show your Nexus Exchange referral pages to the Internet and get in return

  • your own personal branding (when using the new customized splash page)
  • credits per unique hit
  • direct referrals earning you more credits
  • win credits daily for most referral page views

Plus, if you start this weekend, you might win a free one-month upgrade to Expressway membership, a $9 value!

Good luck!
