I am so excited about our new customizable splash page for Nexus Exchange. I know, I know, everybody and his brother already have one, but this one is mine, dangit! I think it’s killer looking and I want to show it off to the entire Internet! But I can’t do that all by myself. I need help.

Now wonderful loyal members like Tony Tezak, Pat Grilliot, and Isabella Vreeken are already rotating their version of the new splash page. I want every member to show their page. I think everybody looks great in purple!

Okay, enough about me. What do YOU get out of showing your personal, customized Nexus Exchange splash page? First off, no one can miss your name and picture on the custom splash page. That’s branding for you. Next, you get 0.1 credit for each unique hit to any of your Nexus referral pages, up to 100 credits in a 24-hour period. Plus, if someone signs up under you from one of those pages, you get 25 credits added to your account. And you get a percentage of the surfing efforts from your direct referrals.

Now, I just discovered a little gem in the admin back office at Nexus Exchange. I can run a contest based on the number of showings of referral pages!! So guess what … NEW CONTEST!

Beginning Friday, January 16 at midnight New York City time, Nexus Exchange will award credits to the top 3 members who show their referral pages the most. This will be a DAILY contest until you get sick of it and complain about it, or I get a different hair up my butt about something else shiny.

First prize will be 75 credits, second prize 50 credits, third prize 25 credits.

Hmm, and to make things a little more interesting, everyone who gets a referral this weekend (between midnight January 16 and 11:59 pm January 18 New York City time) will be entered in a drawing for a free one-month upgrade to Expressway membership. Each referral counts as an additional entry for the drawing.

So, to recap, show your Nexus Exchange referral pages to the Internet and get in return

  • your own personal branding (when using the new customized splash page)
  • credits per unique hit
  • direct referrals earning you more credits
  • win credits daily for most referral page views

Plus, if you start this weekend, you might win a free one-month upgrade to Expressway membership, a $9 value!

Good luck!

Nexus Exchange now has a splash page that members can customize with their name and picture, thanks to William Brant, full-time online marketer and owner of most notably MaxTrafficPro and 13 Deadly Traffic Exchange Tragedies.

I had the design for the splash page months ago. I finally got the hang of HTML to make a web page look decent, but I haven’t learned PHP coding yet. PHP code makes web pages do things like pull the correct picture or name from a database or place the person signing up on the page under the correct sponsor. My brain wasn’t designed for programming code.

But William Brant is a renaissance man. Not satisfied with mere site ownership, he is taking the bull by the horns and learning PHP. When he found out about my dilemma, he offered to take on the project, just to see if he could figure out how to do it.

Voila! Check out my personalized Nexus Exchange splash page.

Login to Nexus Exchange, go to Promotional Tools, and get your own personal, customized splash page. Your name and picture can be put on the new splash page. You can add a testimonial, and it will be saved for use on future splash pages. The current splash page does not yet have a space for a testimonial.

William Brant, you so rock. Thank you.

Ya know what? Travis Millward is right. Networking is the word, join the evolution.

Yesterday was my birthday and I spent it with Nexus.

I made like Wal-Mart and dropped some prices.

  • Expressway membership is now $8.97 per month. NO DROP in benefits. Still get 1:1 surf ratio on a 8-second timer and 400 credits/250 banner impressions/250 text impressions per month.
  • Interstate membership is now $3.97 per month. The only change in benefits is an INCREASED surf ratio of 4:3, that’s 0.75 credits per site viewed. You still get 200 credits/125 banner impressions/125 text impressions per month.

Currently upgraded members, feel free to cancel your current subscription and resubscribe at the new rate. Our grandfathered Gold members will NOT lose any benefits for doing so.

Freeway members now enjoy a view ratio of 5:4, that’s 0.4 credits per site viewed.

New promotional splash page and banners coming soon.

Thanks for being members of Nexus Exchange, or a hearty thanks in advance for joining!

Yes, you can still get extra bonus credits from the surf bar, but that is not what this post is about.

I was surfing yesterday and came across a banner with a picture of Doug Williams, may he rest in peace.

Doug Williams played a huge part in who I am today as a marketer online. Through his programs, I learned everything that I needed to know to get started in online advertising, especially in traffic exchanges.

Though I am no longer active in what I affectionately refer to as Doug’s World, I still remember, with a smile, that is where my online advertising roots are.

Never forget where you came from.
