Restaurant and corporations have already figured out that Facebook marketing can spread the word about what they have to offer. Small business owners can absolutely use it too. With millions of people all over the world tuned in to Facebook every day you can build your customer base like crazy.

There are tools online that you can use to measure the power of your Facebook Marketing.  Klout.com is a site that gives you a score of 1 to 100 based on your posts.  It’s a free service.

You can also check out Sprout Social if you’re willing to spend a little bit of money.

Making posts that are Fill-In-The-Blank is a great way to engage your subscribers.  You can use this to find out more about your customer’s likes and dislikes.  And, it’s fun – so they’ll look forward to more of these from you if you keep it up.

Once you create your Facebook account, or Facebook Page – you’ll want me remain active and engaged.  If you never post content, you can’t exactly expect them to stay interested.  Post videos, pictures, and just “how your day is” regularly.

Be very careful when posting humor on your wall.  Just because you think it’s cute, or funny – you may be offending others.  Bad news travels faster than good news – that goes for your reputation, too.

Use a strong call to action to get people to subscribe to your social media updates.  People need to see value – to know that they’re getting something in return besides cute cat pictures.  For instance, you could give a small discount to people who are about to complete an order, if they subscribe to your Facebook campaign.

Videos are really trending on Facebook – and can make your page even more interesting.  Reader’s attention spans are very short…  so make them good, but quick!
